Aries Full Moon / October

When wisdom is light, it is time to illuminate to eliminate.

October and Two Full Moons.

Greetings and hugs lover, welcome back to my virtual corner, I am Elhoim, and this is my post:

This Thursday, October 1, 2020, the full moon occurs in the sign of Aries, the most focused sign of the Zodiac in overcoming obstacles, and the first of two full moons that occur this month. Read on, and I help you better understand how beneficial this lunar energy is for you.

The full moon is the moment of culmination, completeness, celebration, and enlightenment. It is a sacred moment that occurs when the terrestrial satellite reaches the maximum peak of its illumination. The darkness dissipates, the streets, parks, and forests are illuminated with the grace of the moon, the witches reach the zenith of their power, and the spirits make use of this energy to communicate and manifest among us.

Aries is probably the riskiest sign in the Zodiac, it represents courage, the desire to excel, the desire for a better life, and the achievement of long-term goals. Aries is and always has been the sign of insistence and perseverance, but if you don't feel supported if you don't feel that your goals are inspiring others, it is very easy for you to deviate from the path and end up getting bored with so much trying.

Therefore, it is important to keep a clear mind on what our objectives are, what are the steps to follow to reach them, and understand what are the difficulties that are presented to us along the way, the origin of these difficulties, and the teaching behind them. the same.

The energy of this full moon leads us to rediscover our long-term goals, and reflect on how to achieve them in a more effective way.

“Full Moons are said to be times of illumination and revelation, as well as ripening, completion, and release.” - Durgadas Allon Duriel, Author of The Little Work.

Some little rituals that you can carry out at home, and that I always recommend on my blog, include:

  • Cleaning the house with herbal smoke.
  • Move furniture around to move energy.
  • Burn sage, myrrh, sandalwood, or orange incense.
  • Light some candles of different colors, red (Aries, action), blue (calm, emotional balance), white (the moon, purification, opens paths).
  • Meditate for about 25 minutes in front of a candle flame.
  • Put in writing where (and how) you were six months ago.
  • Also, write where you envision yourself in the next six months.

The Moon Cycle

Full moons are moments of manifestation and materialization, of realizing where we are, and why we are there.

Remember that here we work with cycles, this full moon in Aries is closing two cycles, that cycle that we started two weeks ago with the new moon in Virgo, and also, that lunar cycle that we opened six months ago with the new moon in Aries ( March 24, 2020). And since then you have had six months manifesting and working to be (consciously and unconsciously) in that place, position, and the situation in which you are.

This energetic moment leads us to visualize, “where” and “how” we want to be in the next six months, and in the next twelve months.

Your Purpose of Incarnation

These four most recent years, we have been working together, and from this blog, on aligning each of our thoughts and intentions with our purpose of incarnation, with that which calls us from within, and with that which we seek to manifest in one way or another. in our environment.

In these recent six months, you have grown and matured a lot, you have found and perfected a new "you", you are not the same as you were six months ago, and yet you are today more aligned with yourself than before, you are more you than you were before.

Full moons are charged with that energy of recognition, which allows us to align our intentions, with our purpose of incarnation, that purpose that we naturally do not know, because our mission is to find it, but that it is there, searching for us, and vice versa.

Retrograde Planets right now

Neptune in Pisces, until the end of November

The planet of the oceans, emotional greatness and profound wisdom, continues to retrograde in Pisces, moving and removing from its delicate balance that way in which we understand and interpret your emotions and those of others.

Mars in Aries, until mid-November

The planet of war and direct action is retrograding into Aries, feeling oppressed and frustrated emotionally, business, and family.

Uranus in Taurus, until January 2021

The planet of entrepreneurship, technology, advancement, and sophistication is retrograde in Taurus, the sign of emotions and sensitivity (also stubbornness). This reminds us very much that Uranus retrograde of 2019/2020. So be very attentive to preparing for the new solar year 2021, which in the creative and business aspect, will continue to present difficulties for the youngest entrepreneurs, however, it will be a year of much more monetary liberation compared to 2020.

Pluto in Capricorn, until October 4.

Finally, that strange luck of Saturn and Pluto retrograde together has ended, and now we only have one Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. The planet of loneliness and the subconscious continues its slow passage through the sign of order and structure, seeking to focus social value on cooperation, and leading everyone to discover new ways to clean everything that we have stored in the collective unconscious.

Once Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn ends, there will be a few emotionally complex days between the final release of this "inner cleanser" and a rapid Mercury Retrograde that occurs between mid-October to mid-November.

Be patient with these changes, be patient with yourself.

Chiron in Aries until mid-December

The wounded healer (Chiron) follows his retrograde passage through Aries, thus greeting Mars (the warrior) who is in the same sign from afar.

Chiron focuses on the experience and knowledge of oneself as an individual, this retrogradation leads us to avoid understanding, what we are doing wrong, and the way in which we are hurting others, as well as ourselves. "Self-sabotage" seems to be the order of the day. Reflect a lot on your own actions, and cooperate with the creation of limits, remember that those limits that you impose on others with respect to you, are to take care of yourself.

Blue Moon

This moon of October 1, is the first of two full moons occurring in the same month of October, the second full moon will occur on the night of All Hallows Eve (Halloween), so be very attentive because in just a few weeks we will be sharing much more information about it.

With True Love.

#GriGri/#CharmBags for balance, economic stability, and good fortune.

I made these 25 limited Charm Bags for Balance, economic stability, good fortune, prosperity, protection, and firmness in long-term projects.

Usually, I only offer my work via Instagram, or through the Facebook page of my book "The Magical Art Of Crafting Charm Bags", but this is a different limited edition work, so I decided to post this here on my blog.

If you remember that post we did during the month of January with those herbs that I collected (and some bought) in different parts of the city of NY, then you know that I was waiting until the period between the new moon and the equinox of Autumn, to prepare these amulets.

The colors, dates, lunar phases of its realization, herbs, flowers, roots, oils, and every detail, is cared to channel a specific type of energy, which is focused on balance in life, prosperity, wealth and economic abundance, financial stability, and a slight hint of protection.

The herbs, flowers, and resins I use here include:
  • Rose bulbs (picked with the full moon)
  • The dried root of chrysanthemums
  • Verbena
  • Herb of St. John (duly collected on the night of San Juan)
  • Sagebrush
  • Yarrow
  • Catnip/Catswort
  • Myrrh (Consecrated during the summer solstice)
  • Rosemary
  • White sage (crushed and powdered on the new moon)
  • Dried jasmine flowers
  • Lavender flowers (Sundried)
  • Sunflower root (Picked with the first new moon of spring)

My typical blend of oils of good fortune that includes:
  • Frankincense
  • Myrrh
  • Sage
  • Orange flowers
  • Cinnamon
  • Geranium
  • Salvarosa
  • Cypress
And obviously, a different version of the consecration ritual that you can find in my Charm Bags book. The cloth and cord of each amulet were consecrated with the new moon and now blessed the night before the equinox. I only made about 25 charm bags, which are available for sale through my blog ($35+shipping) Payments can be made directly to me via Venmo (@elhoimleafar), or Paypal and Zelle, but first you need to send me your address, and full name (to Capricornioelhoim@gmail.com or DM in any Social Media Profile) to consecrate and personalize each amulet separately before sending it.

The next time, I'll be offering the Charm Bags made with that beautiful blend of flowers/herbs for Prosperity, Money, and Abundance.

New Moon In Virgo / Sept 17, 2020

 New Moon Cycle In Virgo

Sept 17, 2020.

"The New Moon is always a wonderful time to start something new or to begin the next phase of a project that we have already started. Each sign qualifies the phase with a special function, in the case of Virgo its purpose is to bring the ability to organize and plan as we progress."

Amada Dorta Cerpa

The moon is the time to celebrate the opening of new cycles and paths, it is the monthly reset, it is when the moon seeks to be reborn, and for this it plunges into darkness, ready to plan its new life, its new cycle, from scratch, and with it, new energies emerge that we can use to bless, consecrate and promote new projects.

Virgo is the sign of organization, the correct order of things, and is, along with Capricorn, one of the most perfectionist signs of the Zodiac. It is also the sign of practicality, personal care, and gives us the creative impulse to organize our priorities in the correct order.

This moon in Virgo has the adequate energy to put in order everything that you are looking to fix or solve, issues related to papers and documents, an organization in all aspects, and focus on our priorities.

The Moon Cycle

Like each new moon, this lunar phase opens a long period of six months to manifest everything you want to see done on your way. The alchemical cycle that begins this new moon in Virgo on September 17, will end with an interesting full moon in Virgo, during the last days of February 2021.

This six-month lunar cycle under the rule of Virgo is destined for order and responsibility, make use of this cycle to visualize where you hope to be in the next six months, and where you are in the process right now.

That funny trigone.

Along with the new moon in Virgo, interesting Sun-Moon conjunction occurs, in turn forming a trine with Saturn in Capricorn (karma, responsibility, and order). The energy available with this result gives us several weeks of excitement, creativity, motivation, and entrepreneurship to put all our personal projects in order, and bring them to reality.

Saturn (the correct order of things, structures) is located in its ruling sign, Capricorn (the sign of responsibility and order), forming a trigone of earth signs with Sun / Moon in Virgo.

Now, not tomorrow or yesterday, but now, it is just the moment to focus on yourself, on your short and long-term projects, on that vision you have of yourself, and on the steps, you must take to make that vision a reality. you have of you.

Mars Retrograde

Mars is the planet of action and war, and right now, it is retrograding into Aries (the drive to overcome obstacles). This "reign of terror" of Mars Retrograde, has a duration of two months and leads us to put our plans in writing, to take the correct steps in each direction, to seek advice on our own work to avoid conflict.

This process of Mars can be conflictive for the most dreamers and the most disorganized, here the planet of action comes to exert some pressure on you, on everything you want to achieve and achieve, and on everything, you want to create, promote, sell, and sponsor.

Proper organization is the key to undertake during the next few months.

Incense for Home

Incense to Protect & Charge Home.

I'm waiting for the new moon cycle, so, I did my personal blend of Incense to protect the place and charge the energy of the home protector (with some pics).

Elo's Incienso #1

This is one of those old recipes from my personal spellbook, which I like to share from time to time. In all honesty, I prefer to share it voluntarily through my blog, rather than see someone stealing one of my spells (again) and sharing these in horrible-plastic infographics via Facebook or in absurd videos on youtube or TikTok (Yes, I am a bitter prejudiced, yeah! The bitters we are more, lol.).

This spell is a mixture between that incense that I shared previously to clean the house, a recipe that we commonly make around the Orinoco River using only two plants that are easily found in the surroundings, and adding other herbs and flowers that are easy to find, which I adopt as part of my own magical tradition.

I like to perform this ritual usually, on the last Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, before the new moon or the full moon, why? I really don't know, but it is always on those days for years that I feel the need to do this. Spell, like a vice that calls me or like a phone call that I must attend, it feels like something I must do.

On many occasions I have modified this spell, adding, changing, or removing elements, and the result has not been positive, so I had to repeat it the next day, so I think this is the perfect version (so far).

This spell consists of an herbal incense to cleanse the energy of the place and feed the spirit of the home, which is in charge of protecting and caring for all the inhabitants of the site. Good spirits are quite attracted to this incense, on the other hand, bad spirits are quick to drift away (especially if you add some garlic), so it is totally safe to use.

What I essentially use:

  • Roses
  • Lavender
  • Sage
  • Vervain
  • Yarrow
  • Mugwort
  • Mint
  • Sunflower
  • Charcoal

What I really use (translation from the caption of my spellbook).

  • White sage. Collected in my own garden, or from a pot, in this case I am using the remains of several sage smudges that my friend Eric prepared especially for me.
  • Consecrated Roses. Rose petals that I place on the altar for seven days and seven nights.
  • Lavender flowers.
  • Verbena/Vervain. Collected during the new moon.
  • Mint leaves. Dried for 21 days and 21 nights.
  • Sunflower dried root. Sun-dried.
  • Yarrow.
  • Mugwort.
  • Two pieces of charcoal. Charcoal previously consecrated or blessed, in this case, it is consecrated by my friend Laura, who is a Wiccan priestess.

In the end, I like to collect the ashes and all the remains of the incense, mix these with charcoal in a mortar, mix it all together, and burn it again on the new moon, in order to reduce it to the minimum possible.

Protection Magic Spells.

My Tips (Again) on Protection Magic, and our next Class

by Elhoim Leafar

Welcome back here, to my virtual magic corner. I am Elhoim Leafar, and this is the post of the day. First of all, there are also other similar posts that I have written and published previously:

As in all types of magic and sorcery (love, health, money, etc...) in protection magic, there are hundreds of methods, with herbs, with crystals and gems, with flowers, with oils, with ceremonial rituals, etc…, here I simply share some important facts to know, and I invite you to participate in my next two-hour online class on protection magic and precaution against evil.

Some important tips about Protection Magic.

As in magic related to love or money, here you are working with energies, keep that in mind while performing any protection spell on any book. Remember that above all it is energy, and what you are doing in this case, is dissipating or weakening a type of energy that comes against you.

The best-structured protection spells are those that are performed in the specific place or place that you want to protect, and they work ideally well when they are linked to a particular object (amulet or talisman). Remember that just as in magic we make circles to transform and direct the energy, here it is important to link the energy to a specific point, otherwise, you are only throwing river water in the middle of the salty sea.

It all starts with your aura... This phrase was borrowed from one of my favorite books, "Hoodoo Cleansing and Protection Magic: Banish Negative Energy and Ward Off Unpleasant People" by Miss Aida. This phrase encompasses a particular great truth that many "teachers and tutors" of modern sorcery forget to teach.

Click here to buy Miss Aida's Book.

Your aura is your first contact with the energy external to you, it is from the moment you are born until you die, and from the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to sleep at night, your first contact with all the energy that surrounds you, is for That is why it is important to start there, cleaning and protecting your aura, and from there, continue with everything that surrounds you.

Protecting the home is one of the most effective forms of protection. I particularly like to create barriers on all the walls, add some blends of consecrated oils to the paint for the house, anoint the doors with my own blend of lunar oil (essential oil of bergamot, geranium, and frankincense made with the new moon and consecrated with the full moon), and burn a blend of blue sage and dragon blood in a small circle of sea salt in each of the rooms and halls of the house.

Rainwater is a sacred water that comes directly from the clouds, it is a sacred manifestation of mother nature. I like to fill wooden bowls or iron cauldrons with this water every time it rains, and use it to clean glass and door frames at home.

Angelica, Clover, Garlic, Juniper, are just some of the hundreds of plants with protective powers, which are commonly used to perform this kind of spells, have these plants in the garden, or in pots near doors and windows, it is a good remedy to prevent people with bad intentions from wanting to enter the house.

It all starts with your aura, and from there, your personal shield begins to expand to different points and in different ways, but this is just one of your many metaphysical tools and manifestations of your protective power.

This is an intensive workshop, and it is divided into three parts.

In the first part, we will work on your protection energy, from the most basic, how to clean your aura and your energy, to the most elaborate, how to manifest your own energetic shield, and how to prevent psychic attacks.

In the second part of this workshop, we will work with the magic circle, we will talk about the magic circle of witches, its function, its origin, its importance, because, when and how to do it, and I will give you different rituals to do it.

In the third part of this workshop, I will share with you different recipes and magical rituals to protect your personal space, your home, your office, your loved ones, and even how to return a psychic attack or a curse back to its origin.

La India Rosa.

A Powerful Warrior Goddess from Venezuela,

Protector of the ambiguous, homosexuals, transgenders, and “third sex” people.

India Rosa.

One of the best-known spirits of Venezuelan folklore is "La India Rosa". She does not enjoy the fame throughout Latin America that other characters like Maria Lionza have, but within Venezuela, she is one of the most beloved and most appreciated spirits of folklore.

India Rosa is a native spirit that emanates the beauty and magic of the Amazon, she is a warrior, a healer, and a sorceress, she grants love and beauty to her followers, she is venerated mostly by homosexual women and men, her altars are perhaps the most elaborate, full of offerings, honey, roses, expensive perfumes, ceramic jugs full of fruits, garments to be consecrated, and amulets to be blessed.

Rosa enjoys a huge cult in Venezuela, however it is little known outside the country. This does not mean that she does not provide assistance to her devotees outside the country, on the contrary, on several occasions I have carried out or commissioned various works on her behalf, and for different people in different places, and they always work quite well.

Yes! India Rosa likes expensive pleasures, the best brandies, and the largest rose arrangements, so her services are usually the most expensive, when she feels that a client does not pay, she is well known in our folklore, that she granted the client's wishes, and then removed them from their hands at any time.

Her figure in folklore

La India Rosa frames the figure of a native woman, of enormous beauty and with long hair, in fact, these are some of the most common attributes found in her prayers, such as "Prayers to grow hair", or "Prayers to manifest more beauty in the eyes of the loved one ”.

However, Rosa, broke the archetype of the home woman, was a wise sorceress and also a strong warrior knew perfectly the shamanic rites of the native leaders, and also knew the Ojura Jura, the "forbidden songs" that only the chiefs of the tribe should and could sing before participating in a war.

There are many stories that are told about La India Rosa, entering the enemy tribes at night, the forest fairies covered her with their cloak so as not to be seen, and Queen Maria Lionza "Matriarch of fairies and forest spirits ”, Gave him his powers to lull or confuse the enemy.

India Rosa (according to folklore) could read the designs of the stars and clouds, knew all the aphrodisiacs that the earth provided and predicted when a marriage had or had no future.

When La India Rosa appeared at a wedding ritual between members of her own tribe, it was well known that this was a lucky omen, and the marriage would survive the passing of time, but when she did not attend the wedding, it was only a matter of time for one of the newlyweds to die, assassinated by the enemy tribe, or poisoned by ignorance of the use of certain herbs.

India Rosa's role in the LGBT community of Venezuela

La India Rosa represented in Venezuela an ally for those witches and sorcerers, who are also part of the LGBT community. It is very common to find her image on hundreds of altars at home and esoteric stores, surrounded by rainbow flags, photos of same-sex couples, or wedding gifts from these couples seeking the blessing of the Goddess.

The LGBT/Queer community in Venezuela has always been intimately linked to the esoteric cult, largely due to the constant stories of male Indians who fought and loved each other, during the times of colonization, as well as by being (the esoteric community) a of the most open communities to receive those who feel unprotected by the general society or exiled from it.

At first glance, India Rosa is the queen of beauty, love, and aphrodisiacs, but in-depth, she is the protective deity of homosexuals, battered women, transgender people, transvestites, and all members. of the LGBT/Queer community.

It is not unusual that in places in Venezuela such as "La Montaña de Sorte" (Cerro María Lionza Natural Monument), or "El Embalse La Mariposa", sites in Venezuela commonly associated with witches and the practice of witchcraft and Santeria, there are innumerable altars dedicated to her, these altars always properly perfumed and adorned for the deity.

In these altars are placed in honor of the deity, all kinds of offerings to gain beauty, the love of someone special, a romance, an improvement in sexual life, and protection, which is exactly one of the favors (miracles) related to her of which the most is usually spoken.

India Rosa works perfectly well with magicians and spiritists, but she especially has huge favoritism for working with gay men.

According to an article published by the Venezuelan magazine "Todo en Domingo", in March 2009. Seven out of ten followers of the cult of India Rosa were gay men between 18 and 35 years of age, and at least five of these had witnessed at some point, the immediate realization of one of his wishes to the native deity.

In addition, India Rosa has been constantly mentioned in the famous Venezuelan magazine "Los Orichas", for her strong role in Venezuelan spiritualism.

Now a little history about this character:

History of India Rosa

Guaicaipuro Born in Caracas in 1530 and a trusted warrior of the great Cacique Catuche, he assumed the chiefdom at 20 years of age, when this cacique died. Guaicaipuro ruled the Caracas and the Teques, exercising direct control over... The six villages that surrounded his headquarters in Suruapo was romantically linked to Urquia, from whom he had a daughter, during the exercise of his chiefdom one night of the full moon, he visited one of the nearby villages, where the presentation to the tribe of a princess named Rosa was celebrated, whose beauty was impossible to resist, her expressive bright eyes, her long hair, her half-naked body only covered by a skirt adorned with precious stones and gold and her long hair bathed in petals of wildflowers.

That was quite a feast, the Indians danced to the beat of the drum, and the moment came when the beautiful princess would dance this son and would choose her companion in the dance from all those present, she extended her hand and pointed to the Guaicaipuro Chief who I was captivated by her beauty, in such a way that for him, in that magical moment, only both existed.

The Indian Princess unleashed a great passion in Guaicaipuro, to the point of breaking ties with Urquia. Since then, the Indian Princess Rosa was accepted as the only woman and companion of this great Cacique in her village. Rosa was always characterized by having an incredible perception, she had the gift of deciphering dreams sponsored by her Mother Moon, who alerted her of imminent dangers, as well as the star king, the Sun who bathed her with energy in the sunrises.

Rosa was characterized by being the only woman in the tribe who learned in an amazing way the warrior songs of Guaicaipuro, she herself possessed an excessively loving and warrior essence, her caresses and whispers awoke in the Cacique the most immense and intense love, her skins they boiled with love when they gave themselves to each other.

One night Rosa could not fall asleep, in her hut she watched the Great Chief at her side and kissed his forehead while he slept, and a chill ran through her body, at that time they both had a daughter, whom they placed By name Luna, the Princess decided to leave her hut, and sit at the foot of a tree in front of the river to observe the moon, she asked her because of that fear, she knew that some danger was coming for the tribe.

And he cried a lot in silence, he closed his eyes and when he opened them he saw the moon of intense red color, and he concluded, saying to the moon: death haunts our lives? Is that what you give me as meaning? While she felt the moon respond to her: Daughter goes to sleep, in dreams, you will know... she did so, she lay down next to her beloved and crying in silence, she closed her eyes and a deep sleep enveloped her.

In an instant, she observed many horses were huge like monsters from their mouths fire and blood came out and these as they passed through the village left desolation and death…. Startled, she opened her eyes, and felt in the distance, gallops of horses, she ran very quickly and in a matter of seconds she climbed the highest tree, where she observed how white men on horseback were approaching very quickly to the village, it was an entire army Spanish conqueror, she raised a loud cry singing one of her warrior songs waking up her beloved and all the men in their huts, in seconds Guaicaipuro already with his poisonous bows and arrows had his men ready and prepared for the intense fight that was taking place. approached them.

Guaicaipuro knew that death would wreak havoc on her tribe and that many of the women would suffer the worst, so she took the princess by the hand and kissed her forehead, Rosa felt in her heart that it would be the farewell, she took her daughter and the Great Cacique led them to a cave away from the place where they should remain hidden.

The battle was bloody and many men, women, and children lost their lives, many of the women were bloody raped and taken as slaves. This continued for a long time until some Spaniards discovered the cave where the Princess and her daughter remained.

Guaicaipuro, realizing immediately, ran to the cave accompanied by several caciques, where some were injured... so he understood that the danger that his wife and daughter were running was imminent, so he got to the cave hugging India Rosa, and her daughter, The Indian knew in her heart what her beloved would do and understood it, it was her honor as Chieftain and before seeing the blood of what she loved most flow at the hands of Spaniards, it would run through her own hand, she knelt before him, and he kissed her hands with love, while Guaica with deep pain in his soul and his heart killed them both.

In January 1562, Guaicaipuro and Terepaima confront and kill Captain Luis de Narváez. Guaicaipuro then summons a strategic alliance of all the caciques of the region, the chiefs Baruta, Naiguatá, Chacao, Aramaipuro, Guaicamacuto, Paramaconi, Terepaima, and Chicuramay accept the pact.

For years this alliance which was always successful. but Guaicaipuro lost its opportunity in Maracapana, in 1568, a key battle in which all the allied tribes participated. Defeated by the conquering army in a forceful way, the coalition dissolves and the chiefs return to their lands.

Guaicaipuro took refuge in Suruapo. That same year, he attacked Diego de Losada, who ordered Mayor Francisco Infante to attack Guaicaipuro on the site of Suruapo itself. Infante looked for pacified Indians who were faithful to Spain who knew the way to get to the cacique's house. In Suruapo they penetrated towards the Caney of the Indian chief, Guaicaipuro took the sword and killed those who attacked him. Then he took refuge in his hut, but the Spaniards set him on fire and, when he was ordered to surrender, the chief did not accept and preferred to die trapped by the flames.

Her cult today

India Rosa is the head of the Court of the Venezuelan Indies. When Indian women come from other lands to work here, they are also under her command. She likes to have the essence of roses to perfume herself when she arrives in some matter.

It is manifested by a very strong smell of roses. She loved nature very much. When she was a child, she liked to embellish her hut, her hair, and those of the other Indian women with ornaments made with roses and other flowers. As an adult, she always liked to decorate everything with flowers.

In countries like Venezuela and Colombia, where the rights of people identified as part of the LGBTQ collective, they do not have any kind of political-social entity that safeguards or promotes their rights. The cult of the deity is quite large and continues to increase, its priests and priestesses make beautiful offerings to the divinity to obtain its favors, its protection, love, and beauty.

She is a powerful ally of the LGBTQ community, in fact, she is one of the few native spirits who accepts to perform trance (spiritual possession) to communicate with the living beings, using a transgender or transvestite person as a medium.

Starting to practice Witchcraft without experience, without a Coven, without a teacher.

Starting to practice Witchcraft without experience, without a Coven, without a teacher.

from an outcast to another.

The Pagan/Witches community is one of the strangest "places" where I have been, most of this community is based on the constant idealization of the community as such, but that (contrary to what many think), no It is a bad omen nor is it a bad sign, this shows that many individuals in this community are here waiting to be part of a movement in constant growth, and of a family that grows together.

The problem, perhaps the only problem, or at least the most notorious, is the number of egos hovering on one side and the other, looking for the spotlight, seeking to settle where they attract the most attention or seeking to mix with the "fashionable characters" in the community, and then dispose of them as if they were napkins.

But this only happens in our community?

The truth is that no, in any political, religious, or social movement, it is easy to get this kind of individuals, who, far from focusing on bringing unity and growing together, are more focused on entering a group, only to break it from the inside. , take a few followers with you, and form your own movement, usually a much smaller movement.

How to enter such a complicated community then? Especially without experience, without a coven, without a teacher.

For some reason that I honestly know, I have a lot of students, and most of them prevail with me for a long time, I think it's because I don't make much noise about it. But there are so many students that I have that I no longer have the time to let someone else in, not for now, so what I have done with most of these people, interest at heart is redirect them to someone else.

What I always recommend to apprentices is, do not join a single movement, do not settle for a single teacher, I think it is important to be willing to learn from different teachers, to try different teachings, because in the esoteric theme, the ego It is around the most popular names, so I recommend you try to delve into several different perspectives with different teachers, not to compare them with each other, not to see which one you like best or which one has more followers, but to understand which of these Teachers are really willing to teach you, not because of fame, but because of the true essence of teaching.

Be respectful with each movement of which you are part, do not compare them, it is not worth doing, because at the end of the day it is not smart to compare the gifts of an apple tree with those of a rosebush, each teacher is going to teach you what they have. learned and will teach you according to his own path and experience.

Social media is your ally, not your enemy.

Look for information about the teacher that you have found, or that has been recommended to you, and see the signs there, see if he is the kind of person you want to have as a teacher or not, feel if that person is perhaps on the same frequency as you, do some research on this person.

Several of the people I teach, those whom I tend to call "students" (I end up disliked because in the end, I'm also learning from them), have different political views than I do, and those who know me know that I am very given to politics, however, they continue with me because they respect or feel that my teachings go according to what they are looking for.

So based on the previous point, I recommend you not to judge the personal opinions of the individual by certain aspects, you are not looking for friends or work colleagues here, but teachers and companions on the way, and sometimes someone who thinks differently from you, is the best teacher.

You don't need to start with a Coven

The Coven, or groups of wizards and witches, are for someone who is more into the practice, so do not focus on looking for a Coven if you are just starting out, each Coven is different, and each Coven corresponds to a tradition.

Do not go into a Coven unless you are completely sure even about the path you want to follow. If you want more information about what a Coven is or the types of Coven that exist, as well as about certain aspects of witchcraft, at the end of this post I suggest several books that will be your allies in this field.

Give time to the time

I always ask my students and colleagues, "If I read a medical book, am I then a doctor?", The answer is clearly no, whatever branch of science, religion, or the arts, that you are interested in mastering. They take time, practice (much more practice than you are possibly willing to do), and a lot of studies, which certainly involves a great investment of time and money. Yes, an investment of time and money, because nothing is free in a universe in perfect balance, and whenever you are receiving something, even teaching, you are giving something in return.

Time takes patience, so don't pretend to spread your wings and start showing off titles and teachings after a couple of months or after reading a couple of books. You have to be patient with the results. In a community that is virtually increasingly visible, it is quite easy for all kinds of funny characters to appear (and several clowns without jokes) that after having read a couple of books and taking one or two courses, they are ready to give classes, writing books, giving workshops, creating traditions and so on, be very careful with these individuals, and try not to follow their example.

Dedicate time to practice, dedicate time to teaching, dedicate time to study, take long afternoons to read the books on magic and sorcery, take hours a day to meditate and connect with yourself, take time to learn what calls you.

But above all the above, it takes time to learn to distinguish (and this is very important), between what is a true calling, and what is a whim. Ask yourself these questions constantly:

    • Am I reading this book because I really want to learn about it? Why did someone with more experience recommend this book to me? Or am I just reading it because it is the fashion book that everyone is reading ?.
    • I am in this group / virtual coven because I like and enjoy what I am learning there? And are the members of this group putting some pressure on me to make me learn? Or am I just here because it is the only option I found?.
    • Am I learning, is it helping me? Or after several months I have realized that this is not leading me anywhere?

It is very important that you question (respectfully) everything you are learning, the people you are learning from, and the path you are taking. So do not be afraid to question from reason what you are doing.

Embrace learning.

The learning process is long and tedious, there are long afternoons of study, days and nights of meditation and practice, a lot of "trial and error" seeing if the spells work as you expect them to work (spells always, Always, work), and years of constant study and practice.

Embracing learning is the most important thing, in the process, if you pay attention, you will end up learning from many individuals at the same time, and do not compare yourself with others, do not compare your learning, your results, or your practice with others, each one is learning and experiencing it in a different way.

We are not here to compare who has the altar…. Bigger, so don't waste time on it.

In the end, your greatest teacher will end up being your practice, your Craft, your results, all teachers are only guides, but you yourself will end up understanding due to the magic of the process.

Do yourself a favor.

Do not focus your eyes on magic and witchcraft based on popular culture, do not damage your neurons by comparing TV series and movies with the real philosophy, practice, teaching, and tradition of witchcraft.

Books are books, they are made to teach, movies and TV series, they are illustrated science fiction to gain followers and make money for television networks.

Do not misrepresent what I say, I am not telling you to turn off the TV and go live in the mountains, just do not take for granted what you see there as if it were 100% accurate. Because that is not it.

Now here some books that I would like to recommend, not because of their popularity, but because I think they are qualified to enter the practice from scratch, and not for "experts". To purchase the book, you just have to click on the name, and the link will redirect you to the official book store.

Two Especial Mentions here:

The Gods Never Were Racists.

The Gods are not racist and never have been, the racist is you.

tiny note: the original title was a little different :) but my friend Richard suggests to me about a little change, and now is better, thanks, Richard!!

I never have a problem with people honoring or working with deities of my country (Maria Lionza or India Rosa), or working with the Orixas of my pantheon (Yemaya or Yewa), while they are respectful and keep in secret the mysteries.

If you try to work with them, and you don't find any "obstacle" in the process, and the work you do respond well, you see the results and the signs of their sacred approbation. I'm not anyone, I'm literally not anyone to silent your voice and say contrary.

I am not a messiah, I do not claim to be any representative of the gods on earth, nor do I seek to be.  My relationship with them is my most personal, sacred, and individual relationship, and that is how I think your relationship should be as well.

Science has shown (Sorry white people) that all humanity began in Africa, for me it has never been strange to think or accept that the first gods and temples were also erected there, and until the gods say otherwise, I have no reason to think about it.

Just please be respectful with what you practice, be respectful with the priests and elders of each Tradition, and do not reveal the secrets of it, if they accept you in their Tradition, neither I nor anyone here is qualified to tell you otherwise,  Maybe it is your call that Tradition, maybe it is your purpose of reincarnation to be part of that path, and I will not be (nor anyone else should be) a stone in your path.  The ancients represented their gods on the rocks because none of us is qualified to speak for them or pretend that we know what they say, religion is a belief system created by men, not by gods.

I only speak from my perspective, from what I know, I am nobody to talk about the perspective of others, especially in the middle of a community where today any individual reads two books, writes an article in a certain pagan blog of debatable popularity, and voila, they take a new tradition out of their pocket.

But at least from my perspective, in the few traditions that I have entered, I have never seen problems of racism associated with worship or gods. On the contrary, I have seen problems of racism, homophobia, and transphobia, promoted by people, not by gods, and unfortunately, most of these are white people who argue (and even have told me) "this cult is not for people like you, stay in line. "

So before objectifying religious traditions and pagan cults as something under your entire control, you should take the time to be initiated into other traditions (really initiated !, Thanks!) And see how respectful the individuals within these traditions are. , see how they treat their elders and their own mysteries, and after that, if you are going to be part of any cult, do it for love, and not just to pretend and presume that you are part of something exclusive, which is only exclusive because its leaders are racists who pretend to act as messiahs in a false cult.

Thanks, with love, Elo.

Read carefully

Read carefully, and take a minute to ponder this.

The bad news, many around you are attentive to every detail and every mistake you make, many around you are there waiting for you to make these mistakes, many around you want to see you fall and fail, only to appear in the moment and take away the attention, just to steal your light. Many of them envy you, jealous of you, and would give an arm to see you fall.

The good news. Nothing, absolutely none of this has anything to do with you, it is their perspective, not your reality, you keep walking, keep shining, keep doing what makes you happy.

The stars do not cry because another star shines, they continue to shine, you do the same, and stomp, look at the past, at those steps you are following, look at the present, at those steps you are marking, look at the future, in that legacy that you are leaving to those who come after you. Everything else is just noise.

with love, Elo.
