Tamoryayo

According to the tribe of the Yukpa, Tamoryayo is a creator God who lived in the clouds, from where he once came down to change the place of the sky to place it where it is now.

Then he created the first Yukpa. Over time, seeing the man alone, he sent a woodpecker as an emissary and sent him the message of whether he wanted company.

The first man said yes and then the bird went in search of the Manüracha or Caricai tree, which when cut would throw away blood. The yukpa cut the tree in two and they became two women. He took one of them, tickled her and with the woman's laughter his soul entered his body. He did the same with the other woman and then he named them Yoripa. After pregnancy and so the Yukpa began to be born.
