Brief Astrological Guide, Venus the Lover.
Brief Astrological Guide for Witches. Part IV
Venus the lover
Venus, the second planet in our system, is who directs, controls and transforms our deepest feelings, is the ruler of Taurus and Libra. Its movements in the sky were known by most of the ancient civilizations, for which it was extremely important in almost all the astrological interpretations of the planetary movement. Even the Mayans developed a religious calendar based on the cycles of Venus. When the planet of love is brighter, it can be seen during the day, being one of only three celestial bodies that can be seen by day with the naked eye, besides the Moon and the Sun, by what is known as the Star In the morning (Morning Star) or the Evening Star.
In Roman mythology, Venus is worshiped as the goddess of gardens and fields, was later associated with the Greek goddess Aphrodite, hence her planet is known as the planet of love and beauty. Beyond these connotations, Venus, is the planet (and deity) that manifests through desire, fertility, femininity, harmony in the home and family, as well as balance in relationships.
