January 28th / Full Moon in leo

I recognize, I accept, I choose (Full Moon in Leo / January 28)

The constellation of Leo rescues the story of the Nemean lion, the sacred lion was the first child of the goddess Selene (the moon) who threw him from the moon under the request of Queen Hera. The golden fur of the lion was impenetrable and impossible to hurt. After killing him with his own hands, Heracles uses the skin of the lion as protection. After dies, Athena the goddess of wisdom and strategy makes use of the lion's skin as the armor hers to protect her followers.

It is a time to vindicate yourself with respect to your environment, and forgive yourself for many times acting as something smaller and taking off your crown so that others shine more, at the cost of your own effort.

The sun is what you manifest on the outside, it is how you see yourself, how you want to see yourself in front of everyone else, and how they really see you. The moon is everything that you carry inside, it is the source of that manifestation, it is the internal impulse.

This full moon in the sun sign (Leo) gives you this feeling of wanting to shine for who you really are, of making known everything that distinguishes you for being who you really are, while the Sun in Aquarius makes you re-analyze your position with respect to the community, how you feel in the community that surrounds you and how you are useful to them.

Two weeks ago we started a short two-week lunar cycle that ends today, and we are also closing that lunar cycle that we started six months ago with the new moon in Leo.

“Full Moons are said to be times of illumination and revelation, as well as ripening, completion, and release.” - Durgadas Allon Duriel, Author of The Little Work.

Some little rituals that you can carry out at home, and that I always recommend on my blog, include:

  • Cleaning the house with herbal smoke.
  • Move furniture around to move energy.
  • Burn sage, myrrh, sandalwood, or orange incense.
  • Light some candles of different colors, red (action), blue (calm, emotional balance), white (the moon, purification, opens paths).
  • Meditate for about 25 minutes in front of a candle flame.
  • Put in writing where (and how) you were six months ago.
  • Also, write where you envision yourself in the next six months.

With True Love.
